The pack celebrated the 86th birthday of Cub Scouting with their annual Blue-Gold Banquet on Saturday February 13 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church.

 

Inovocation was given by Rev Lee Williams.

 

A covered-dish dinner for Cub Scouts, Family Members, and Friends of the Pack began the evening.

 

This year's theme was "Head West Young Man."

 

Cubmaster Keith did a readings  "An Old Tradition to Celebrate the Years of Scouting" and a brief history of "How Scouting Came to America."

 

Presentation of the colors by Webelos 2 Redneck Eagle Patrol.

 

Impressive and entertaining skits were performed by our Cub Scouts.

 

A Cub Scout Cour of Honor was held for Cub Scouts who had earned advancements:

Chase H - Games Tiger Play + My Family's Duty to God + Team Tiger + Tiger Bites + Tiger Badge.

Grayson M - Backyard Jungle + Games Tigers Play + My Family's Duty to God + Team Tiger + Tiger Bites + Tiger Tag + Tiger in the Wild + Tiger Badge.

Joziah R - Games Tigers Play + My Family's Duty to God + Team Tiger + Tiger Badge.

Tyler H - Games Tigers Play + My Family's Duty to God + Team Tiger + Tiger Bites + Tiger Badge.

Braden W - Duty to God Footsteps + Wolf Badge.

Byron L - Adventure in Coins - Duty to God Footsteps + Wolf Badge.

Draygon P - Duty to God Footsteps + Wolf Badge.

Matthew B - Duty to God Footsteps + Wolf Badge.

Corbin L - Baloo the Builder + Fellowship and Duty to God + Cyber Chip + Bear Badge.

Lincoln T - Baloo the Builder + Fellowship and Duty to God + Fur, Feathers, and Ferns + Paws for Action + Cyber Chip + Bear Badge.

Seth P - Baloo the Builder + Fellowship and Duty to God + Fur, Feathers, and Ferns + Paws for Action + Cyber Chip + Bear Badge.

Travis D - Baloo the Builder + Fellowship and Duty to God + Cyber Chip + Bear Badge.

Caleb A - Game Design + Stronger, Faster, Higher.

Ephraim L - Game Design + Stronger, Faster, Higher.

Hayden C - Game Desgin + Stronger, Faster,  Higher.

Logan C - Game Design + Stronger, Faster, Higher.

Jack F - Stronger, Faster, Higher.

 

A special ceremony was held for Webelos 2 Redneck Eagle Patrol Scouts, Phillip B - Devin N - Gavin N - Daniel P for completing the God and Family study program. Each Webelos Scout was presented with a metal, certificate, and pocket card. Their mentors were presented with a pin along with their counselor Rev Lee Williams.

 

Cubmaster Keith announced the pack has earned the Journey Toward Excellance Gold Award for 2015.

 

Cubs were presented service stars for their years of service in Cub Scouting:

1 year - Jack F - Tyler H - Chase H - Grayson M - Draygon P - Joziah R - Lincoln T.

 

2 years - Matthew B - Byron L - Braden W.

 

3 years - Travis D - Corbin L - Seth P.

 

4 years - Caleb A - Logan C - Hayden C - Ephraim L.

 

5 years - Phillip B - Devin N - Gavin N - Daniel P.

 

Tiger Den Leader Crystal Hardbarger and Committee Member Chris Long were recognized and presented with their trained patch for completing Cub Scout leader training.

 

Service Stars were presented to Pack Leaders for years of service.

4 years - Melanie Axley - Crystal Carmony

District Executive Tim Rupert attended and spoke of the Family Friends of Scouting program.

 

Each Cub Scout was asked to make a dessert, with the help of an adult male for the Cub/Male Dessert Silent Auction.

 

Desserts and donated gifts included: Valentine Cake - Blueberry Cobbler - Candy Bouquet - Chocolate Brownies - Rock Hard Brownies - Brownies - Chocolate Cookies - Strawberry Cream Chees Cupcakes - Oreo Pie - Fudge Brownies - Cookies - Fudge in Heartshape Container - Chocolate Campfire Cake - Triple Chocolate Cookies - Funfetti Cake with vanilla icing and Sprinkles - Chocolate Chip Cookies - Ginger Bread Cupcakes with Butter Cream frosting - Red Velvet Cupcakes - Dirt Cake - Classic Lantern - Car Cleaning Kit.

 

A total of 23 items were auctioned with a pack profit of $368.00.

 

The evening concluded with the retrieving of the colors by Webelos 2 Redneck Eagle Patrol.
