The pack celebrated the 89th birthday of Cub Scouting with their annual Blue-Gold Banquet on Saturday February 16 at the Elizabeth Baptist Church.

 

This year's theme was "Customs of Other Countries."

 

Each den chose a country, Lions USA, Tigers Brazil, Wolf Japan, Bear Mexico, Webelos 1 Italy, Webelos 2 Germany and displayed decorations and performed skits of their adopted country.

 

Invocation was given by Rev. Craig Blankenship.

 

A covered-dish dinner for Cub Scouts, Family Members, and Friends of the Pack began the evening.

Each den brought food custom to the country they chose.

 

Cubmaster Keith did a reading "The History of the Blue-Gold Banquet."

 

Presentation of the colors by Webelos 2 Headless Chicken Patrol.

 

A Cub Scout Court of Honor was held for the Cub Scouts who earned advancements:

A God and Family religious award ceremony was performed for Webelos 1 Blue Flame Phoenix Patrol scouts Hunter G - Tyler H  - Chase H for completiton of their six week class. Their counselor Rev, Craig Blankenship presented each with their award. Mentor pins were presented to their parents. Webelos 1 also presented Rev Blankenship with a gift for serving as their counselor.

 

A ceremony was also held for Bear Scout Louis M as he completed the Jewish Maccabee religious award requirements.

 

Scouts attending were presented with a patch for selling popcorn: Matthew B - Tucker C - Lucas C - Quincy F - Bradin F - Eli F - Josiah FM - Hunter G - Luke H - Tyler H - Bentley H - Chase H - James P - Hunter S - Holden V.

 

Wyatt G from Webelos 2 Headless Chicken Patrol was presented with the Good Scout award for the month.
